Fantasy Job Season 2: Scene 1

Sometimes a game knows exactly what it is. A cheap thrill, a bit of pixelated consequence, a face you recognize from that one video you definitely didn't watch at work. The real model tag here isn't lying, it's some blonde woman who looks like she's about to sell you a questionable timeshare, and now she's back because apparently everyone knows what happened during those "interviews." I got stuck on the caressing mechanic for way too long. You click and you drag, or maybe you just click. There's a rhythm to it that feels like trying to pat your head and rub your stomach while someone judges your technique. The video quest format means you're mostly watching, occasionally interacting, and the grainy quality of everything makes it feel like found footage from a parallel universe where HR doesn't exist. The dream job concept is absurd, obviously. Who fantasizes about accountability? But that's the twist here, the second season isn't about the fantasy anymore, it's about the morning after the fantasy, which is actually a weirdly mature direction for something this unpolished. The blonde keeps staring at you while you do whatever it is you're supposed to be doing. The interface fights back sometimes. I clicked somewhere and nothing happened for three seconds and I thought about closing the tab but didn't. That's the whole review right there. It's like reading a bad translation of a French novel where the protagonist is a complete idiot and you can't stop turning pages because the typography is so earnest. The erotic tension isn't in the nudity, it's in the waiting, the awkward pauses between actions that make you hyperaware of your own hands on the mouse.
