I keep coming back to that one scene in the laundry room. You know the one. The game calls itself Trapped Inside A Weird Game, which is a stupid name, but it fits. It's a kinetic novel, so you're just along for the ride, no choices, just watching this 19 year old kid get his life rearranged by some mysterious voice. The art is all 2D, kind of flat but with these moments of animation that catch you off guard. One minute it's a static shot of a milf character with eyes that are just slightly too big, the next the screen is doing something very specific with her fingers. The superpowers angle is weirdly undercooked. They talk about it, he can do... something? It's never really shown, just talked about in between the handjobs. The sci-fi tag is doing a lot of heavy lifting for what is mostly just a guy in a room getting jerked off by a woman who could be his friend's mom. The graphic violence tag is no joke though. There's a bit near the end that made me actually put my phone down on the couch. Not in a fun way. Just sudden and red and completely at odds with the previous twenty minutes of slow, wet stroking. The writing has this strange rhythm, like it was translated by someone who thinks in sentence fragments. And why is there a whole section about the texture of a bathrobe? I didn't need that. But then the handjob scene starts again and I forget what I was complaining about.
