Then I wake up in a basement with a vampire lady telling me I’m dead but not dead dead. Sins of Night doesn’t waste time getting to the weird stuff, which I appreciate because I’m here for the weird stuff. The sandbox stuff is fine. You wander around, talk to people, pick dialogue options that raise different stats. There’s a quest log that’s mostly “go here, do that.” I spent way too long trying to figure out how to unlock the goth girl’s second scene because the game doesn’t tell you that you need to grope her in the alley first. That’s not a complaint exactly, just... the hint system could be better. The corruption routes are where it gets good. You can be a romantic vampire boyfriend or you can slowly turn the milf neighbor into a cock hungry mess who begs for anal. I did both saves. The vampire lady who turns you has this femdom thing going on, lots of handjobs and teasing where she calls you a good boy while draining you. Then later you get male domination options with the virgin girl and the prostitute. It’s a weird power seesaw. The animated scenes are actually decent for 3DCG. Not the best I’ve seen but the creampie animations don’t look like two mannequins fighting. There’s incest content if you’re into that, I’m not but the step sister route is there. The graphic violence tag is no joke either, one scene had a guy getting his throat ripped out mid blowjob. Not my thing but points for commitment. Overall it’s messy, horny, and doesn’t explain itself well. But I keep coming back to unlock the vampire lady’s anal scene so what does that say about me.

I keep thinking about the handjob scene in the infirmary. Not because it's hot, which it is, but because of how the game frames it. You're both covered in blood from the last Convergence, and she's shaking, and the whole thing reads less like fanservice and more like two people trying to feel something that isn't terror. Luminary Protocol does that a lot. It gives you the titfuck with the monster girl, then two scenes later you're watching a kid get torn apart by a god who speaks in riddles. The tonal whiplash should be annoying but it kind of works, like the game itself is having a breakdown. The AI CG is rough in places. Hands look like melted candles sometimes, and one of the milf characters has a face that changes shape between scenes. I spent way too long staring at her nose in the bath scene, trying to figure out if it was the same person. It wasn't. But the animated scenes are smooth enough, and the pov stuff during the stripping route actually lands. There's a pregnancy ending that comes out of nowhere if you lean too hard into the incest path, and I still don't know if it's a bug or a feature. The alignment system is there but honestly I just picked whatever felt meanest and ended up on Chaos, which locked me out of the Balance canon route. Oops. The school setting is barely used after the first hour, which is a shame because the groping scene in the empty classroom was the most grounded moment in the whole thing. After that it's all Convergence zones and demon politics. The virgin route is weirdly sweet for a game this violent, like a palate cleanser between disembowelments. I'd give it the "Most Confused Boner" award. Not because it's bad. Because it keeps handing you a titty and then punching you in the gut, and you're supposed to say thank you.
